My IOT is a device called TAF which stands for Temperature Activated Fan. The problem that I wanted to solve with this device is the temperature increase which can cause heat stroke in children and pets. Heat stroke in cars is a big problem during summer(it is the leading cause of non-crash deaths in cars) which is why I wanted to solve it. The device has three purposes; one main purpose and two side purpose. The main is to cool down the car when the car is too hot by using a fan. The secondary functions are to alert the user of the increase of the car's temperature to take action as well is powered by the solar. The device consist of two parts, the main part to solve the heat problem and cool down the car while the second part is a remote to alert the user of the heat. The NYIT assistance in helping with the project was great since it allows for faster connection to the internet to ****yze problems which can be solved by IOT devices.

IoT Device example is a Google home. The way that work is that it is a smart speaker that enables uses inputs of vocal commands to work with Google's virtual assistant. As well it is connected to the internet to assist. The uses for this device is listening to music, schedule your day, get answers to questions. In addition it can control other smart devices.

Ideas for IOT

1. A sensor that lowers the brightness of a light depending on the time of day
2. shoes that produce different noises depending on the harder you stomp.
3. a glove that translates sign language in text using the movement of hand(unsure of how this would work)
4. a pen that translates writing onto a computer (acts as a keyboard)
5. Sensor that uses temperature of a car to release a cool breeze. (If the car reaches a certain temperature, a fan will turn on to cool down the car using water)
